Good post. Leaving a moment not only reflects we respect the bloggers' labor but also can enhance people' feelings. It's benefit for each other. Air Jordan

I have not had the pleasure of meeting Dava Newman, though I would like to make a point of it next time I visit Boston. I am aware of her work on innovative space suits, largely due to the leering coverage of her modeling her suit concept.... See http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2007/07/spacesuits-just.html.

Speaking of objects in space, a couple of weeks ago, while in Boston, I had the privilege to have dinner with Dava Newman. Among her many credits -- impressive for a youthful sort -- are title of Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Engineering Systems at MIT as well as Director of Technology and Policy Program, and MacVicar Faculty Fellow. She and her husband Gui Trotti (www.trottistudios.com), an industrial designer and architect who had much to do with the ISS design, are working on a new type of spacesuit. It recently was on display at the MOMA in NYC. See http://www.space.com/businesstechnology/070716_sleek_spacesuits.html

I wonder what object(s) Dava met as a little girl growing up in Montana that would put her on such an amazing trajectory.
